Educated at Loughborough High School and Emmanuel College, Cambridge, Phillippa spent the first part of her career in the City.

She went on to specialise in commercial litigation and dispute resolution.  There she advised large corporate organisations and public bodies on a broad spectrum of contentious matters, involving product liability, construction and financial services and sometimes involving cross-border issues.

She subsequently moved back to Leicestershire with her young family and joined Spearing Waite in January 2013.

Phillippa has extensive experience of litigating in the High Court and County Courts and has successfully settled disputes via alternative dispute resolution means including mediation, arbitration and expert determination.  Her current caseload is varied and includes:

  • contractual disputes
  • warranty claims
  • shareholder and partnership disputes
  • breaches of restrictive covenants and confidentiality by employees
  • professional negligence and defamation claims.

Phillippa is a governor of Loughborough Endowed Schools and is the Welfare Officer at Beeston Hockey Club.
