Oliver trained, worked and was head of corporate at a national law firm before joining Spearing Waite as a Corporate Partner in March 2014.
Oliver deals with all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, MBOs/MBIs, listed and non-listed share issues and other corporate finance work.
He has acted for several listed and AIM companies, private equity providers and banks, as well as for UK subsidiaries and private companies.
Oliver also advises on venture and development capital and other investment funds and has specialist knowledge of the financial services regime relating to corporate finance and M&A work.
In September 2017 Oliver became the Chief Operating Officer and will take on the new role working alongside the Management Team of Tom Bower, Jonathan Wheeler & Martin Smith to deliver the firm’s new 5 year strategy.
On his new position Oliver said: “Spearing Waite has now put in place an exciting new strategy to continue and accelerate its recent growth.
